Jennie Lee Haines Joins Home State Underwriting Team
Underwriter, Jennie Lee Haines has accepted a promotion to join the Pennsylvania Underwriting Team. Her territory will focus on the central and western part of the state. She was born in PA and graduated with honors from Slippery Rock University of PA with a Business degree specializing in Marketing and Communications. Jennie Lee joined Harford Mutual in June of 2011 and she is pursuing her CPCU designation. Jennie Lee is very excited to be working in her home state.

Christopher D’Alessio Promoted to Underwriter
Christopher D’Alessio (CJ) was promoted to the position of Underwriter. In addition to handling larger agencies, CJ will also handle new business and renewal retention. CJ started with Harford Mutual in January 2012 as an Underwriter B responsible for processing renewals, endorsements, RapidWrite policies and other small CPP business within his assigned territory.

Martin Kyper Joins As New PA Production Underwriter
Martin Kyper brings more than five years of commercial underwriting experience in an agency to his new position as Production Underwriter at Harford Mutual. Kyper has a marketing degree from Susquehanna University and holds a PA P&C license, an AU designation and is working toward his CPCU. His territory will include most of western PA.

Harford Mutual Proudly Announces Three CPCU Designees
Gail Mandell, Caty Hartley and Tara Turner join other Harford Mutual employees as CPCU® Designees. A Certified Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) is considered to exhibit the highest professional education, ethics, and experience for the insurance industry.

Gail Mandell, CPCU, joined the company in December of 2009 with 29 years’ experience in the insurance industry. As a Litigation Specialist for Harford Mutual, Mandell handles General Liability claims, works closely with defense counsel in developing strategies for resolving litigation, and attends mediations to help negotiate to a conclusion.

Tara Turner, CPCU, AIC, is the Casualty Claims Supervisor and has been with Harford Mutual for 13 years. Turner is responsible for the supervision and training of seven casualty examiners, monitoring the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services reporting, and serving as the corporate Anti-Fraud Coordinator.

Caty Hartley, CPCU, AIC, is a Senior Claims Examiner at Harford Mutual where she handles commercial auto and liability claims including litigation and serves as a Business Analyst for the Core Systems Replacement Project. Hartley graduated Towson University in 2009 and joined Harford Mutual in February 2010. She obtained her AIC designation in September of 2011.
