AM Best Upgrades Clearpath Specialty Credit Ratings
AM Best has upgraded the credit ratings of ClearPath Insurance Company (d/b/a Clearpath Specialty and Clearpath Specialty Insurance Company) and removed them from under review with positive implications.
Clearpath Specialty’s Financial Strength Rating (FSR) has been upgraded to “A” (Excellent) from A- (Excellent) with a stable outlook. Its Long-Term Issuer Credit Rating (Long-Term ICR) has been upgraded to “a” (Excellent) from “a-” (Excellent)with a stable outlook.
Clearpath Specialty merged into Harford Mutual Insurance Group in August 2023.
The ratings reflect Clearpath Specialty’s balance sheet strength, which A.M. Best categorizes as “strongest”, as well as its adequate operating performance, neutral business profile, and appropriate enterprise risk management.
The rating upgrades and the revised outlooks for Clearpath Specialty reflect its integration as a newly added reinsured member of Harford Mutual Insurance Group.
