Harford Mutual Insurance Group’s Marketing Team Receives Two Best of Show Awards from the Insurance Marketing & Communications Association

The Insurance Marketing & Communications Association (IMCA) Showcase Awards recognize innovative work in insurance marketing and communications. This year, Harford Mutual Insurance Group received two Best of Show Awards for marketing projects completed in 2021 & 2022.

The “HMIG 2022 Insurance Careers Month Campaign” and the “Linkous Family St. Baldrick’s Shave Campaign”, both created by the Marketing team, each earned a Best of Show Award.

The “HMIG 2022 Insurance Careers Month Campaign” was launched for Insurance Careers Month, which is recognized nationally every February. The purpose of the campaign was to drive new talent to Harford Mutual. This was achieved through our employee journey videos, career opportunity videos, and other media communications launched on social media.

The “Linkous Family St. Baldrick’s Shave Campaign” focused on Harford Mutual Insurance Group President & CEO Steve Linkous, along with his wife and two sons, shaving their heads as part of a fundraiser for The St. Baldrick’s Foundation, the largest non-government funder of childhood cancer research grants. Their efforts and bravery raised a record breaking $560,000 for the foundation. The campaign included videos, a press release, and local television interview highlighting the shave event.

IMCA is the oldest insurance marketing trade association in North America and represents over 120 regional and specialty companies, general agencies, industry suppliers, and prominent multi-line insurance companies and brokerage firms, as well as the top five property and casualty writers in the U.S.
